Information about Planning Committee

Comprising 15 Councillors, the Planning Committee determines planning applications and related matters which have not been dealt with by Officers under delegated authority. The Planning Committee meets every four weeks.

All meetings of the Planning Committee are held in the Council Chamber at Millmead House.

However, due to the ongoing impact of the Covid pandemic, whilst all voting members of the Committee and key officers must attend all meetings in person, ward councillors who are not members of the Committee, together with public speakers may, if they wish, attend Planning Committee meetings remotely via Microsoft Teams.  Please also note that, due to the pandemic, we have significantly reduced seating capacity in the public gallery.  However, we do webcast all of our meetings and these can be viewed by clicking on the following link: https://guildford.public-i.tv/core/portal/home

If you do wish to physically attend the meeting, please think about the following:

You may wish to have a Covid-19 test prior to attending the meeting.  Follow the link below:

If you should receive a positive result you will not be permitted to attend the meeting and you should isolate as required under public health guidance.
