Procurement of Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP) training for one Officer, via
Softcat.
This grant is provided by the LGA as part of
their LGA Cyber 360 programme, to uplift cyber skills in the
Council.
As this training grant was based on guidance
from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), providers listed on
their website under the NCSC Certified Training scheme were
considered.
QA was widely listed in this training scheme and are known by the
Council to have previously delivered a good standard of
training.
Given pricing was similar and within the grant funding level, and
QA are a current supplier to the Council, pricing options for QA
training were progressed (direct and reseller pricing).
Reseller pricing via Softcat is the cheaper option
identified.
