Currently the Council does not have a contractual arrangement with a procurement compliant contractor for the removal of asbestos. The Council has an ad-hoc interim arrangement to ensure compliance. Consequently, the Council will be going out to tender to seek an appropriate contract in June 2024. The expenditure for this contract is anticipated to be in excess of £200,000.

Notice of proposed decision first published: 23/04/2024
Explanation of anticipated restriction:
No further work can be commissioned with the existing contractor (E-brit) until we have a compliant contract in place with another contractor. The intent is to award a 1 year exemption contract to a provider as a precursor to an open tender contract.
