Consultation process

Officers:
James Beach (Lead Specialist - ICT): Recommendation to continue existing use of Microsoft technologies. A software partner tender is currently concluding that will provide a Microsoft partner on a fixed margin basis. It is recommended that we use this partner to arrange a suitable Microsoft licensing provision for the organisation. It is expected that the partner will recommend a new Microsoft Enterprise Agreement to replace the expiring one. An Enterprise Agreement provides a 3 year arrangement.

Source of authority to take decision: Council Constitution dated 4th April 2022, Part 3, Page 3-57, paragraph 2(c): GENERAL DELEGATION TO ALL DIRECTORS AND SERVICE LEADERS 2. To undertake the day-to-day management and operation of staff reporting to them and of the premises and services for which they are responsible in accordance with the policies and procedures laid down by the Council, including: (c) entering into contracts (in consultation with the relevant Lead Councillor where the value is above £200,000), memoranda of understanding or other arrangements
