For grant of a new lease the rent will be £75.00 per annum inclusive of service charges and in accordance with the Council’s General Disposal Consent powers, provides the ‘best consideration reasonably obtainable’.

The rent will be payable annually in advance and subject to an uplift in line with the Retail Price Index after three years.

In order to facilitate the residential development of the former Westway site, previously sold by the Council, the proposal is to vary the original transfer document (TP1) to clearly define the rights reserved to the Council, improving the access and parking rights as well as the facilities for the adjacent Aldershot Rd allotment users. The owners of the former Westway site will be providing utilities services to the entrance of the allotment site. The services will include electricity, foul drainage and water connections (all capped off and metered).

Guildford Allotment Society have been consulted and are supportive of this proposal and will benefit from 6 car parking spaces on site.
