in connection with the use and running of the Bus Station.
• Obtaining and holding for the duration of the agreement 24/7
public liability insurance
• Fire Risk Assessment and Evacuation Strategy
• Actioning any repairs or cleaning duties which pose an
immediate risk to health and safety (the Council agreeing to
reimburse any reasonable costs)
• Building Insurance Premium.
Guildford Borough Council will remain responsible for:
• Continuing to clean the roadway and concourse; and emptying
associated rubbish bins.
• General repairs and maintenance – limited to keeping
the land in no better condition than the current state of repair
due to an overriding agreement.
The agreed licence period is 12 months backdated to 18/12/2024 and
expiring 17/12/2025 The licence fee will be a peppercorn.
The Bus Station forms part of the North Street Redevelopment Site.
A refurbished Bus Station is to be provided as part of the
redevelopment. Corporate Programmes have confirmed we are able to
grant Stagecoach a 12-month licence until December 2025.
