Comprising 15 Councillors, the Planning
Committee determines planning applications and related matters
which have not been dealt with by Officers under delegated
authority. The Planning Committee meets every four weeks.
All meetings of the Planning Committee are
held in the Council Chamber at Millmead House.
However, due to the ongoing
impact of the Covid pandemic, whilst all voting members of the
Committee and key officers must attend all meetings in person, ward
councillors who are not members of the Committee, together with
public speakers may, if they wish, attend Planning Committee
meetings remotely via Microsoft Teams. Please also note that,
due to the pandemic, we have significantly reduced seating capacity
in the public gallery. However, we do webcast all of our
meetings and these can be viewed by clicking on the following

If you do wish to physically attend the
meeting, please think about the following:
You may wish to have a Covid-19 test prior
to attending the meeting. Follow the

You may also obtain a test through the post but the lead
time is longer for the result.
If you should receive a positive result you will not be
permitted to attend the meeting and you should isolate as required
under public health guidance.

If your test is negative
please arrive at the Council Offices, Council Chamber,
Millmead by at least 6:45pm so that you can be
seated. Seating will be socially distanced and those
sharing a household will be seated
together.
Please follow public
safety instructions if you are travelling to the meeting by public
transport.
Hand sanitizers will be
available on arrival and departure and in the Council Chamber.
Please use these regularly.
You must wear a face
mask when entering and leaving the building, but you may remove
your mask once you are seated.
Please dress warmly as
the Council Chamber will be well ventilated and with doors
open.
Please bring your own
water/tea/coffee (sufficient for the evening) in a
suitable container, which you are asked to take home
with you No refreshments will be available.
Please try to maintain a
social distance from others of 2 metres once inside
the building.
