The Council’s tenant D.S. Johnston
Properties Limited (previously known as Bowden & Highett
Limited) of the above property has requested that they be given a
licence to allow the assignment of their lease expiring
25/5/2070.
The proposed assignee is Rangers of Guildford Limited who already
occupy part of the site under the terms of a sublease dated 10th
May 2019.
The lease does not permit the Council to unreasonably withhold or
delay consent.
In accordance with good estate management
practice.
The decision meets the policy requirements for
the Council and there were no alternative options available. The
Council is not able to unreasonably withhold consent to the
assignment
