To enter into the Deed of Amendment and
Reinstatement to the Housing Infrastructure Fund Grant

between Guildford Borough Council (the Grant Recipient) and Homes
England as amended by a deed of amendment dated 10 February 2022
and 29 March 2022 made between the same parties (“the
Original Funding Agreement”) for the purposes of providing or
facilitating the delivery of infrastructure and housing and related
To amend and restate the Housing
Infrastructure Fund (Forward Funding) dated 29 July 2020 (as
amended by a deed of amendment dated 10 February 2022 and 29 March
2022) in accordance with the amendments set out in the Deed of
Amendment for the purposes of providing or facilitating the
delivery of infrastructure and housing and related outcomes in
respect of the Weyside Urban Village.
The Parties to the Deed have agreed to amend and restate the Original Funding Agreement on the terms set out in this Variation (see Restated Funding Agreement set out in Schedule 1) to enable the Council to reprogramme / reschedule and claim the remainder of the grant prior to closure of the grant window in March 2025.
The other option is to not sign the Deed of
Amendment and Reinstatement and the Council would not benefit from
the grant acceleration.
The Extraordinary Council on 30th August 2023,
The Council: Delegates to the Strategic Director of Place, in consultation with the Lead Councillor for Regeneration and Lead Councillor for Finance and Property, authority to enter into such other contracts and legal agreements connected with the Weyside Urban Village project as may be appropriate in compliance with Procurement Procedure Rules and within the approved budget.
