Current cash collection contract coming to an
end and as per Council process a procurement was conducted.
Cash collections must be maintained for Parking and Finance, which
contributes to revenue. Also to prevent vandalism and theft.
Existing staff can not carry out these duties. It is better a
professional company with necessary skills/licenses.
Consideration if this could be done in-house
but determined do not have staffing capacity. Additionally, there
would have been the need for appropriate training for dealing with
cash in transit handling, and the procurement of appropriately
secure vehicles / personal protection equipment.
