Reasons for the decision:

To complete the final phase of the creation of a SANG (suitable alternative natural greenspace)
Background
Tyting farmhouse and adjacent buildings were sold by the council for redevelopment. The remaining farm buildings (except the bullpen) were demolished, and the land landscaped to create a SANG funded by a s106 Planning Agreement. The conversion of the bullpen to a bat hibernaculum was included in the planning for the creation of the SANG. Surveys have shown the presence of bats within the bullpen. This project will create a customised space for bats that previously occupied the farm buildings now demolished.

Alternative options considered:

The decision meets the requirements for the Council and there were no alternative options available.
