Decision:

To approve the grant of the lease of garden land known as Plot D1, Salmons Road, Effingham in line with the following terms and conditions:
For the grant of a new lease the rent is £150 pa.
The agreed term is 5 years, subject to a mutual option to break on giving 2 months’ written notice.
The rent will be payable annually in advance and subject to an uplift of £25 pa to £175 pa with effect from the commencement of the 4th year of the term.
The Lessee is required to pay the Council’s legal and surveyor’s fees.

Reasons for the decision:

To ensure that the tenant occupies the land under a formal agreement with the Council and that a market rent is paid by the tenant to the Council.
