The Council granted a lease of some land at
Northside
Court on 21 September 2004 to a Housing Association to
construct a development of affordable housing. Some of
those properties were leased on shared ownership terms.
The Council and the current Registered leasehold owner
Vivid Housing Ltd, are entering into the transfer,
whereupon the Headlease will merge
into the freehold being transferred. The Council will be receiving
a renumeration from the sale.
To end the council's responsibility for the
freehold and future costs and management obligations. To enable a
simpler management arrangement for leaseholders.
Extension of the head lease arrangement was
considered but transfer of freehold was the preferred option.

(including if a Key Decision).
