Decision:

To enter into a contract with Stannah Lift Services Limited through the Procurement for Housing Framework for the supply of annual servicing, day to day repairs/renewals and installation of domestic stairlift in Council owned properties.

 

Reasons for the decision:

Decision to award one year contract following the end of current contract, to ensure ongoing servicing and repair as an interim arrangement whilst a longer term contract is procured.  The Council have a duty to maintain stairlifts, to ensure the safety of residents and support residents to remain in their homes, where appropriate.

 

Alternative options considered:

Alternative procurement routes were considered but could not deliver in timescales required. Therefore, one year interim contract agreed whilst pursuing longer term contract for the future.
