Vodafone Limited, Vodafone House, The
Connection, Newberry, Berkshire, RG14 2FN, the Council’s
tenant of the mast site, have requested a surrender of the lease
dated 11th August 1997.
Vodafone is to surrender the lease to the Council, and a new
‘code agreement’ relating to the same site is to be
simultaneously entered into between the Council and Vodafone (dealt
with under a separate DA).
Vodafone have agreed to pay our legal and surveyor’s
fees.

To approve the surrender of the lease to
Vodafone in the interests of good estate management, and as advised
by our legal team when simultaneously entering into a ‘code
agreement’ with Vodafone.
The decision meets the statutory / policy
requirements for the Council and there were no alternative options
available.
