This decision is to approve the change of use of a piece of land within the North Street Regeneration project from bus station to land for landscaping and public realm. The Deed is between the Council as freeholders and Carraway Ltd the long leaseholder.

Reasons for the decision:

The decision will allow the developer, St Edward, to undertake works as required by its contract with GBC and the relevant planning consent. The decision will enable the Council to seal the contract and complete this matter.

The Executive on 26 October 2021 Item 4.

To authorise the Strategic Services Director, in consultation with the lead Councillor for Regeneration and the Director of Resources, to negotiate and enter into all associated property/contractual documentation required in order to facilitate the sale of the Council's interests in the Site, subject to receiving final valuation advice from the Council's external advisors confirming that the transaction amounts to the best consideration reasonably obtainable.
