To move £60,000 from the provisional
capital programme to the approved capital programme.
The Council has conditionally contracted to sell 3 sites within the
North Street regeneration area to St Edward Homes. In order to
comply with contractual arrangements the Council need to continue
with the appointment of various consultants. The current work
includes:
• Working with the developer on design aspects of the
scheme.
• Rationalising contractual matters
• Relocation of the North Street Market.
• Arranging phased vacant possession.
• Moving Taxi Ranks.
The budget is required to fund officers' time, consultants dealing
with these matters and some infrastructure and application costs in
relation to the market and taxis.
The movement of funding from the provisional
to approval capital programme is required in order to ensure the
Council meets its contractual obligations in respect of the North
Street Regeneration.
