from Guildford's UKSPF to fund work to 31 March 2024 to deliver a
Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan for the
borough.
UK Shared Prosperity Fund
The Council has signed a Memorandum of Understanding that sets out
terms that will apply to the relationship between the Secretary of
State of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
regarding the administration and delivery of the UK Shared
Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
The Council has been awarded £1m to spend over three years
(2022-2025). The aim of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund is:

£20,000 from Guildford's UKSPF has been allocated to deliver
a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan. This will include
a network plan for key walking and cycling corridors and a
prioritised programme of infrastructure improvements at concept
design stage. Surrey County Council will deliver this by 31 March
2024.
Alternative options considered
None – the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan is an Surrey Country Council led project which we are part funding through our UKSPF allocation.

EX107: The Executive: 1. Approved progression of Guildford’s
UKSPF and REPF plans, as outlined in the report. 2. Delegated to
the Strategic Director of Place, in consultation with the Leader,
authority to enter into such other contracts and legal agreements
connected with the UKSPF and REPF as may be necessary in compliance
with Procurement Procedure Rules and within allocated grant funding
budget.
