Continuation of geographic information system
licences through an extension clause in the existing G-Cloud
agreement, to enable the Council to continue to use mapping
services.
The Council's existing geographic information
system licence agreement expires on 31st March 2023. The Council
continues to use mapping for both internal and public-facing
services.
A licensing arrangement to enable continued use is therefore
considered necessary at this time.
The existing contract has a price-locked
option for extending a further 12 months with the existing provider
and solution.
As the price-locked nature of this G-Cloud extension offers a
competitive option that avoids the costs of implementing and
training against a new platform, alternative solutions have been
rejected at this time.
