Procurement of Egress Protect licensing to replace the Council's existing expiring agreement.

The Council's existing Egress Protect agreement expired on 25th February 2023. The Council continues to use Egress for secure email and attachment sending. A licensing arrangement to enable continued use is therefore considered necessary at this time.

Microsoft 365 technologies that are included within our current core licensing with Microsoft including Sensitivity Labels and OneDrive were considered. Significant work is required to migrate business areas onto these, and some use-cases for Egress would require further investigation.

This was not able to be prioritised above other current business priorities prior to the expiry date, and therefore renewal was determined necessary at this time.
